Closed Cell Foam
Closed-cell foam is an air barrier, vapor barrier, and high-performance insulation.
It is not affected by water and does not support mold growth.
This type of foam is ideal for a variety of applications including basements and crawl spaces.
Must be sprayed directly to dry and sound substrates such as concrete, wood, or drywall.
Open Cell Foam
Open-cell foam is an air barrier, sound barrier, and high-performance insulation.
This type of foam is used for above-grade applications including attics and walls.
It can be injected into cavities thru a small hole and is often used to insulate without drywall removal.
Also used to control sounds such as basement ceilings and partitions.
Fiberglass
Fiberglass loose-fill is blown into attics with a machine to high r values at low cost. This product works very well but requires a properly prepared attic. Attics often need better air sealing and have exterior walls inside them that are not well insulated. We inspect attics for mold, ventilation, air loss, and heat sources such as older pot lights.
